NAPEP 2025 Registration Open for Poor Nigerians

The National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) has officially opened its 2025 registration portal to qualified Nigerian citizens. According to the agency, this initiative is focused on reducing absolute poverty by empowering individuals through vocational training, micro-credit support, and job creation in industries like automobile manufacturing.

“All qualified citizens are hereby invited to register for the 2025 NAPEP Registration,” a spokesperson for NAPEP stated during a press briefing this week. “We are committed to building a society where Nigerians, especially the youth, can be trained and supported to achieve economic independence.”

NAPEP is designed to drive social and economic development by reaching both rural and urban communities. Its goals include helping beneficiaries rise above economic challenges and supporting them with the tools needed to meet their social and career expectations.

Eligibility requirements include being a Nigerian citizen by birth, possessing a valid National Identity Number (NIN) that will be verified through the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and being at least 18 years old. Applicants must also have earned a General Certificate of Education at the O-Level.

“This programme is about the transformation of society in its totality,” the spokesperson added. “We are looking at maximum improvement in the material, cultural, social, and political wellbeing of all citizens.”

Registration is still ongoing. Interested applicants should visit the official NAPEP portal at https://napep-gov.ng/signup to apply.
