The Petty Traders Grant Support Programme is now open for applications from Nigerian residents. This initiative offers grants between N10,000 and N100,000 to support small businesses and entrepreneurs with low startup capital. It is a community-driven project aimed at helping Nigerians grow their businesses, especially in areas like buying and selling of goods or basic services.
According to the organizers, “It is one of our support measures to assist applicants who want to start a small-scale business.” The programme is not a loan—recipients will not need to repay the money. It can also be used to boost funds already raised by the applicant.
To qualify, applicants must be between 18 and 55 years old, live in Nigeria, and either run or plan to start a business. A valid ID (Voter’s Card, National ID, Driver’s License, or International Passport) is required. Other details needed include a verified address, a 10-digit bank account number, and the contact information of one person.
The application period runs from June 1st to August 31st, 2025, with all grants disbursed by September 30th, 2025.
